YWAM Kona Mission Funds

Aloha! 

My name is Anabel Mendiola. I am from Coeur d'Alene Idaho--originally from Emmett Idaho. I love Idaho and I'm blessed to call it home. I'm currently at the Youth With A Mission Kona base attending the Awaken Discipleship Training School and blessed to call the beautiful island of Hawaii home for the next 3 months. 

This 6-month discipleship school is a promise long awaited for me. When I first heard about YWAM 4 years ago, I knew I wanted to take part in the school. Everything finally aligned for me to come for this fall quarter. We have already started and I have already made some amazing friends. I am excited to see what God will do during this time in all our lives. 

Over the last 5 years, I have been a part of various ministry works mainly involving children. I completed a two-year children's ministry internship where I was a lead teacher for 1-5 graders. During this time, I went on my first mission trip to Cape Town South Africa. This internship led to a children's ministry director position at a church which I helped plant. While working as the children's director, I was also working with foster children at a group home. After feeling led from the Lord to leave the director position, I went to Nepal to help with earthquake relief work. It was here, in a small mountainside village that the Lord cemented YWAM as the next step in my walk with Him. I have a heart for missions and have been very blessed to visit other countries on missions trips. I know that this is just the first step of many towards my dream of becoming a full-time overseas missionary. 

All funds will go towards covering lecture fees, missional health insurance, and outreach--the mission portion of the school.
